Cloudron 4.1 released
We are happy to announce the release of Cloudron 4.1!
For those unaware, Cloudron is a platform that makes it easy to run web apps like WordPress, Nextcloud, GitLab on your server and keep them up-to-date and secure. Think SaaS for self-hosted apps.
Cloudron 4.1 adds a new configure UI, customizable app icons, multiple domain redirects, new app manifest & more.
New configure UI
The various app settings are now grouped into categories:

Multiple domain redirects
You can now setup one or more domains to redirect to a single app. In the screenshot below, www.cloudron.dev
, site.cloudron.pro
and cloudron.xyz
will redirect to blog.cloudron.ml
.

Manifest v2
We have bumped the app manifest version to 2. The main change is that environment variables injected by Cloudron into an app's runtime are prefixed with CLOUDRON_
. This prevents any conflict with the app's own environment variables.
Other notable changes
- Remove password requirement for uninstalling apps, domains & users
- Fix issue where unused addon images were not pruned
- Add DigitalOcean Frankfurt (fra1) region for backup storage
- Fix name.com DNS backend issue for naked domains
- Fix DigitalOcean DNS API to make requests with ttl of 30
- Fix DKIM selector conflict when adding same domain across multiple cloudrons
